Nancy Porter is an American director, producer, and screenwriter. She is best known for her work on the television series Parks and Recreation and the feature film The Back-up Plan.

Nancy Porter was born in New York City in 1973. She studied film at New York University and graduated with honors. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

In Los Angeles, Porter began working as an assistant director on a number of television series. She eventually worked her way up to become a director, working on shows such as Charmed and Ugly Betty.
