Nahla Al Fahad, born on February 2, 1965 in Kuwait, is a groundbreaking director and producer in the Middle Eastern film industry. She is known for her daring and innovative filmmaking techniques, and for her commitment to telling stories that challenge traditional gender roles in the region.

Al Fahad began her career in the entertainment industry by producing the first Kuwaiti television series, Al Rafid. She went on to produce several more series, as well as short films and documentaries. In 2003, she made the leap to feature film directing with her first feature, A Love Story.
