BIO

Min Clough is a prominent award-winning director, best known for her work in television and film. She was born in Manchester, England in 1967 and graduated from the University of York in 1989 with a degree in English Literature.

Clough began her career as an assistant director in television, working on a variety of shows such as BBC's Red Dwarf and ITV's Coronation Street. She quickly moved into directing, helming episodes of popular television shows such as EastEnders and Casualty. She has also directed music videos for artists such as Take That and George Michael.

In 2002, Clough made her feature film debut with the critically acclaimed drama Red Dust. The film starred veteran actresses Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett and received several awards, including Best British Feature Film at the British Independent Film Awards.

Since then, Clough has continued to work in film and television, directing and executive producing a number of projects. Her most recent feature film is the romantic drama The Wake, which stars Christopher Eccleston and Nathalie Press. The film premiered at the London Film Festival and was released in the UK in 2017.

Clough has won numerous awards for her work, including a BAFTA nomination for Best Television Direction and a Women in Film & Television Award. She has also been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the British Independent Film Awards for her contribution to the British film industry.

Clough is currently working on a new feature film, The Longest Day, which is scheduled for release in 2020. She is also developing a television drama series for the BBC and an adaptation of the novel The Witch of Portobello for the big screen.

Clough is passionate about creating films and television projects that are entertaining, thought-provoking and socially relevant. She is a firm believer in the power of storytelling to bring people together and to help create a better world.
