Migueltxo Molina is an iconic Spanish director, producer, and screenwriter whose career has spanned more than two decades. He has directed some of the most successful Spanish films of the past two decades, including the unforgettable thriller, “Thesis” (1996) and “The Other Side of the Bed” (2002).
Migueltxo Molina was born in 1971 in Madrid, Spain. He studied Literature at the Complutense University of Madrid, and began his career working in the Spanish television industry. In 1995, he made his directorial debut with the television movie “The Ghost of the River”. The film was a success and garnered him numerous awards, including the Spanish Academy Award for Best New Director.
In 1996, Molina released his first feature film, “Thesis”. The film was a commercial and critical success, and earned him the Goya Award for Best Director. The film also established him as one of the leading filmmakers in the Spanish film industry.
