Michael Linn is a veteran television and film director who has worked on some of television's most iconic shows, such as The Wonder Years, Home Improvement, and Boy Meets World. Born on October 22, 1949 in Los Angeles, California, he was raised in a large, close-knit family. Growing up, Michael was very interested in the arts and was especially drawn to film and television.
At the age of 19, Michael enrolled in the University of Southern California's film school, where he received a bachelor's degree in motion picture production. He then went on to further his education at UCLA, where he received a master's degree in film production. After graduating, Michael began his career in television, working as an assistant director on several shows.
In 1980, Michael landed his first directing job on the popular television series The Wonder Years. He went on to direct several episodes of the show over the next few years, eventually becoming a supervising producer. His work on the show was highly-acclaimed, and earned him several Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Michael has been married to his wife, actress/director Patty Linn, since 1985. They have two children together, both of whom are in the entertainment industry.
