Michael Blieden is an American television and film director, writer, and producer. He is best known for his work on the television series The Sarah Silverman Program and the feature film The To Do List.

Blieden was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended the prestigious Harvard-Westlake School in Studio City, California, where he was an active member of the school's theater program. After high school, Blieden moved to New York City to attend New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Blieden first gained recognition for his work on the MTV series Human Giant, which he served as Director of Photography. He then went on to direct episodes of the television series The Sarah Silverman Program. During his time on the show, Blieden won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series.

In 2013, Blieden made his feature film directorial debut with the comedy The To Do List. The film, which starred Aubrey Plaza and Rachel Bilson, was a critical and financial success. The film earned Blieden a nomination for Best First Feature at the Independent Spirit Awards.

In addition to his work in television and film, Blieden is also active in the theater world. He has directed plays at New York's Second Stage Theater, as well as at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. Blieden has also served as a creative consultant for music videos, including the visuals for the hit song “Closer” by The Chainsmokers.
