Mete Gümürhan is a Turkish film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the international feature films Valley of Wolves: Iraq (2006), Valley of Wolves: Palestine (2010), and Valley of Wolves: Ambush (2015).

Gümürhan was born in Istanbul, Turkey to an upper middle-class family. He studied film and television at Yildiz Technical University, and his first feature film was released in 2001. The film, titled Gümüş, was a major success in Turkey, garnering critical acclaim and multiple awards.

Gümürhan’s second feature, Valley of Wolves: Iraq, was released in 2006 and was an international success. The film was a box-office hit in Turkey and was well-received in the United States, where it won several awards. Gümürhan then followed up the success of Valley of Wolves: Iraq with Valley of Wolves: Palestine in 2010. This film was also a box-office hit in Turkey and won several international awards.

In 2015, Gümürhan released Valley of Wolves: Ambush. This film was an even bigger success, becoming one of the highest-grossing Turkish films of all time. It won numerous awards and was released in over 20 countries.

In addition to his feature film work, Gümürhan has also directed several television series, including the popular Turkish drama series Aşk Yeniden (Love Again). He is currently working on a new feature film, which is scheduled for release in 2020.
