Mélanie Laurent is a French actress, director, singer and writer. She was born on 21st February 1983 in Paris, France. She began her acting career at the age of sixteen, appearing in various television shows and films. She achieved international recognition in 2006 for her performance in the film Don't Worry, I'm Fine.

In the years following, Laurent has appeared in many critically acclaimed films, such as Inglourious Basterds, The Concert, and Beginners. She has also received several accolades, including two César Awards and one European Film Award.
