Matias Ferreyra is an Argentine film director, producer, and screenwriter. He has worked on numerous films, television shows, and music videos throughout his career.

Ferreyra was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1977. He began his career in television, directing episodes of various popular shows. He then moved on to feature films, and co-directed his first feature film in 2007, “The Orphans.” The film was well received and was screened at various international film festivals.

In 2009, Ferreyra wrote and directed the feature film “The Matchmaker,” which was nominated for six awards at the Argentine Film Critics Association Awards. He then went on to direct “The Lighthouse,” a drama that was nominated for two awards at the Shanghai International Film Festival. In 2013, he released the comedy “The Bachelors,” which was nominated for nine awards.

In 2014, Ferreyra wrote and directed the documentary “The Other Side of the Wind,” which was released in theaters in Argentina. The documentary focused on the life and career of Argentine director Alejandro Jodorowsky, and was nominated for three awards.

In 2015, Ferreyra wrote and directed the feature film “Far from Home,” which was nominated for four awards. He then went on to direct the television series “The Search,” which was nominated for three awards at the Argentine Film Critics Association Awards.

Ferreyra has also directed several music videos, including one for J Balvin’s “Ay Vamos.” He has also worked as a producer on a number of television shows and feature films.

Ferreyra’s films have been screened at numerous international film festivals, and he has won several awards throughout his career. He has established himself as a successful director and continues to work on new projects.
