Massimiliano Zanin is an Italian filmmaker and director of feature films, commercials, documentaries, and music videos. He is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed feature film, Lovers, which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 2002.

Born in Milan, Italy, in 1965, Massimiliano Zanin began his career in the entertainment industry in the late 1980s. He started out as an assistant director and assistant editor for various productions and commercials. After gaining experience in the industry, he moved on to directing his own music videos in the early 1990s.
