Mark Soldinger is an American director who has made a name for himself by creating films that are both critically acclaimed and commercially successful. He is best known for his work on the blockbuster films “X-Men”, “The Wolverine”, “Deadpool”, and “Logan”.

Born in New York City in 1971, Mark Soldinger began his career as an editor for music videos and commercials, but soon realized he wanted to be a director. After attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, he began working on his first feature film, “The Hard Corps”, which was released in 2006.

The success of “The Hard Corps” allowed Soldinger to move into the realm of big budget films, and in 2007 he directed “X-Men: The Last Stand”, the third installment in the X-Men franchise. The film was a huge success, grossing over $459 million worldwide and cementing Soldinger as one of Hollywood’s hottest directors.

In 2013, Soldinger directed the Wolverine spin-off “The Wolverine” which earned him a Saturn Award for Best Director. He followed this success with “Deadpool” in 2016, which became one of the highest-grossing R-rated films of all time.

In 2017, Soldinger directed “Logan”, the final installment in the Wolverine trilogy. The film received critical acclaim and was a box office success, grossing over $619 million worldwide.

Soldinger’s other directing credits include “Wanted”, “The Longest Yard”, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”, and “Jumper”. He has also been involved in producing several films, including “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past”.
