Maite Rivera Carbonell is a Spanish director, producer, and screenwriter based in Madrid, Spain. She is best known for her films and television series, which explore themes of family, love, and identity.

Maite was born in Madrid in 1970 and raised in a multicultural family. Her father was a Spanish diplomat and her mother was a professor of history. From an early age, she was exposed to different cultures and languages, which shaped her as an artist.

Maite began her career as a journalist and editor for a local newspaper, but soon realized her true passion was in filmmaking. In 2001, she wrote and directed her first short film, “The World in Your Hands”. The film won several awards at the Madrid Film Festival, launching Maite’s career as a director.
