BIO

Mags Gavan is an Irish director who has won numerous awards for her work in film and television. She is best known for her work on the critically acclaimed series, Love/Hate (2010–2014).

Gavan was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1967. She grew up in the city and attended the National Film School of Ireland. After graduating, she worked in the television industry before moving on to directing.

Her debut feature film, The Daisy Chain (2008), was nominated for several awards. The film follows the life of a young girl who moves to rural Ireland and struggles to fit in with the locals. The film earned Gavan numerous awards and nominations, including the IFTA for Best Director.

Gavan followed up The Daisy Chain with the critically acclaimed series, Love/Hate (2010–2014). The show was an immediate success, gaining a cult following and winning numerous awards, including the IFTA for Best Television Drama. Gavan earned an IFTA nomination for Best Director for her work on the show.

In recent years, Gavan has worked on a range of projects, including feature films, television shows, and short films. Her latest project is the feature film, The Drummer and the Keeper (2017). The film follows the story of an unlikely friendship between a drummer with Asperger's and a young goalkeeper.

Gavan is an acclaimed director with a passion for telling stories. Her work has earned her numerous awards and nominations. She is an inspiration to many and a testament to the power of storytelling.
