Luca Severi is an Italian film director, screenwriter, editor, and producer. He has been making films since the early 1990s, and has directed and produced numerous feature films, documentaries, and television series.

Born in Rome, Italy in 1965, Luca was inspired to pursue a career in film after watching his first movie at the age of eight. He began his career working as a camera operator for several Italian television programs. After gaining experience in the industry, he moved on to writing, directing, and producing his own projects.

Luca's first feature film was the 1993 drama "Giochi di Potere" which he wrote, directed, and produced. The film was a critical success and earned him a nomination for the Silver Ribbon award for best new director. This success launched his career and he went on to direct several more feature films, including "La Historia de una Familia" (1995) and "Una Classe Difficile" (1996).

In 2000, Luca directed the romantic comedy "L'Uomo Che Sapeva Troppo", which was nominated for a Nastro d'Argento Award. The following year he directed the documentary "Gli Ultimi Cavalieri d'Italia" which was awarded the Gold Medal at the Italian National Documentary Festival.

In addition to feature films, Luca has directed and produced a number of documentaries and television series. His most recent works include the 2007 drama "Il Mondo di Notte" and the 2010 documentary "Alessandro Baricco: Il Futuro dell'Uomo".

Luca is known for his unique visual style and his ability to create compelling stories. He is highly respected in the Italian film industry and has been the recipient of numerous awards.

Luca continues to work in the film industry, directing both feature films and television series. He is currently working on his next film, which is slated for release in 2021.
