Lorna Tucker is a critically acclaimed director, producer and writer whose work has explored a broad range of topics, from the fashion world to the political landscape. Born in London, she studied at the National Film and Television School before embarking on a career in film and television. Her debut feature documentary, Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist, was released in 2018 and has received widespread critical acclaim, including being shortlisted for the BAFTA Award for Best Documentary.

In her work, Lorna often tackles profound subjects with a light touch. She is unafraid to challenge her audience and explore complex topics with humour, humanity and intelligence. Her work has been featured in major publications such as The Guardian, The Times, Vogue, and GQ.

Lorna’s most recent project is the Apple TV+ series Beastie Boys Story, which she directed and produced with Spike Jonze. It tells the story of the band’s rise to fame, exploring their 40-year career and the impact they had on the music scene and pop culture. The film premiered at SXSW in 2019 and was awarded the Grand Jury Prize.

In addition to her filmmaking work, Lorna is an outspoken advocate for diversity and inclusion in the film and television industry. She has spoken out against gender discrimination in the industry and has taken a public stand against the lack of representation of women and people of colour in both behind and in front of the camera.
