Lara Jaoski is a Brazilian filmmaker and cultural producer whose work explores the intersection between audiovisual creation, ethnography, and decolonial thought. As the coordinator of BTV and several transmedia projects focused on film and writing, she has developed a career deeply rooted in intercultural dialogue and humanistic research.
Having lived and produced content across five continents, Jaoski’s practice reflects a global perspective grounded in indigenous-led narratives and ancestral knowledge. Her films, books, and songs investigate contemporary human existence and the cultural choices shaping our relationship with the natural world. Through this approach, she seeks to learn from ancient traditions and translate their wisdom into modern creative forms.
Beyond her artistic work, Lara organises multicultural study groups and collaborative projects that connect local and global realities. Her creative output consistently amplifies underrepresented voices and communities, aiming to reintroduce ancestral guidance as a vital compass for reimagining the present and the future.
