Kun Chang is a highly successful Chinese film director who has gained international recognition for his work in the past few years. He was born in Beijing in 1979 and has been active in the film industry since the early 2000s.

Kun Chang began his career as an assistant director to renowned Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou, who has been credited with helping Kun Chang develop his craft. After assisting Zhang Yimou, Kun Chang began directing his own films. His first feature-length film, “The Story of Peking Man,” was released in 2005 and earned him critical acclaim.
