BIO

Krzysztof Spiechowicz is a Polish film director and screenwriter. He was born in 1981 in Poznan, Poland. He studied at the National Film School in Lodz and graduated in 2008.

In 2008, Krzysztof made his debut feature film ‘The Way Out’. The film was a dark comedy set in the small town of Wroclaw, Poland. It was well received by critics and won the Best Feature Film Award at the Gdynia Film Festival.

Following the success of his first film, Krzysztof went on to make several more feature films. In 2012, he wrote and directed ‘Dogs’, a drama about a young girl struggling to survive in post-communist Poland. The film was well-received and won several awards, including Best Film at the Polish Film Festival.

In 2014, Krzysztof wrote and directed his most successful film to date, ‘Aftermath’. The film tells the story of a Polish family struggling to rebuild their lives after the Second World War. The film was critically acclaimed and won several awards, including Best Film at the Warsaw Film Festival.

Krzysztof has also directed several short films, including ‘The Glow’ and ‘The Cellar’. His most recent film, ‘Magdalena’, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.

Krzysztof is known for his unique visual style and for his ability to tell stories with a unique perspective. His films often focus on themes of family, identity and social issues. He has been widely praised for his work, and is considered one of Poland's most talented directors.
