Kerstin Eriksdotter is a Swedish film director and screenwriter. She is best known for her critically acclaimed feature films, which have earned her numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Guldbagge Award.

Eriksdotter was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1970. She graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1995, and later studied film at Stockholm’s Film and Television Institute. After graduation, she worked in various roles on Swedish television and film projects.

In 2000, Eriksdotter directed her first feature film, "Fada", which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. The film was a critical success, and earned her the Best Director award at the Guldbagge Awards.

Eriksdotter followed up with her second feature film, "Hjälp!", which was released in 2004. The film earned her another Best Director award at the Guldbagge Awards, making her the first female director to win the award twice.

Eriksdotter's third feature film, "Gården", was released in 2011. The film was a commercial success, and earned her a third Best Director award at the Guldbagge Awards.
