Kelly Ali is an award-winning film director, editor, and producer. She is most known for creating films that explore the complexities of human relationships, delving deep into the inner workings of the human heart.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Ali studied film and television production at Ryerson University. Throughout her studies, she developed her skills in editing, writing, and directing, and honed her own unique visual style.

Ali's most notable work is the 2016 feature film, 'Motherhood', which she directed, edited, and co-wrote. The film tells the story of a single mother struggling to make ends meet, and the complex relationships she forms with her daughter and the people around her. The film was nominated for five Canadian Screen Awards, and won the Best Motion Picture award at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

Ali has since gone on to direct and edit several other films, including the documentaries 'A Road Divided' and 'We Are Here'. Her latest feature film, 'The Moth and the Flame', is currently in post-production.
