Leichter recently produced Hidden Battles, a documentary examining the psychological impact of killing on soldiers from around the world. She also produced and directed Passing On, a portrait of her ninety one year old grandmother Elsa, an Austrian Jewish immigrant, family therapist, and outspoken matriarch. In connection with that film, Leichter serves as Project Director of The Workfare Media Initiative, a media activism project that trains current and former welfare recipients to screen A Day’s Work, A Day’s Pay and lead facilitated discussions on economic justice and community organising.

Additional credits include co producer of Spit It Out, about a man who stutters and his journey toward self acceptance, and producer of Mothers and Daughters. Mirrors That Bind, which explores how the mother daughter relationship shapes women’s bodies, sexuality, and self esteem.
