Jude Ratnam is an established Sri Lankan film director who has created many powerful films that have resonated with audiences around the world. His films have won numerous awards and have been screened at prestigious film festivals.

Jude Ratnam was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka in 1984. He studied at the University of Jaffna and then at the National Film and Television Institute in Colombo. After graduating, he worked as a assistant director for several years before finally making his directorial debut in 2008 with the feature film ‘A Place in Heaven’. The film was a success and won several awards, including Best Picture at the Colombo International Film Festival.

In the years that followed, Jude Ratnam directed several more feature films including ‘The Road from Elephant Pass’ (2009), ‘The Road to Nandikadal’ (2010), and ‘Mangroves of Koddiyar’ (2013).
