BIO

Jose Escamilla is an American film director, producer, and entrepreneur. He is best known for his work on the UFO documentaries "Roswell" and "The Great UFO Hoax," as well as his work on the feature films "The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon" and "Mysteries of the Deep."

Escamilla was born in El Paso, Texas, in 1962. He began his professional career as a cinematographer in the early 1980s. He then moved into directing and producing, working on various projects, including commercials and music videos. In the 1990s, he began his foray into documentary filmmaking. His first documentary, "A Guide to the UFO Phenomenon," was released in 1995.

In 1997, Escamilla released his first feature film, "The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon." The film was a success, and it led to several other feature films, including "Mysteries of the Deep" (1999) and "The Great UFO Hoax" (2001).

Escamilla's most famous film, however, was the 2002 documentary "Roswell," which chronicled the alleged 1947 incident in which a UFO crash-landed in Roswell, New Mexico.
