Jörg Siegert is a German film director, producer and screenwriter. He has been making films since the early 1990s and is best known for his work on the award-winning documentary “Journey to the Center of the Earth” and the feature film “The Dancer.”
Siegert was born in Berlin in 1969 and grew up in a family of filmmakers. His father was a cinematographer and his mother a scriptwriter. He studied film at the University of Television and Film Munich and began his professional career as a freelance filmmaker in 1990.

Siegert’s latest project is the feature film “Paradise Lost,” which is set in the world of competitive sport climbing and follows a young climber as she struggles to balance her personal and professional life. The film is set for release in 2021.
