BIO

Jonathan Ingalls is a talented and prolific director with over a decade of experience in film, television, and music video production. Born in San Diego, California in 1985, he graduated from San Diego State University in 2008 with a degree in film and television production.

Ingalls began his career as a production assistant, but quickly rose to the ranks of director. His first music video was for the band The Morning Benders, which won him an MTV Video Music Award in 2009. He has since directed music videos for a wide variety of artists, including Tegan and Sara, The Black Keys, The xx, and Vampire Weekend.

In addition to music videos, Ingalls has directed several short films and digital series, including his own web series, The Jonathan Ingalls Show. He has also directed several episodes of the hit Netflix series, Master of None. His work has been featured in festivals around the world, such as the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and SXSW.

In 2017, Ingalls directed his first feature-length film, The Light of the Moon. The film premiered at the SXSW Film Festival to rave reviews and earned him the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Feature. The film also won the Audience Award at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival.

Ingalls has also worked in the commercial world, directing ads for some of the biggest brands in the world, including Microsoft, Apple, Nike, and Samsung. He has also directed a number of web series and digital shorts for brands like Pepsi, Cadillac, and American Express.

In addition to his work in film, television, and commercials, Ingalls is an active member of the creative community. He has served as the vice president of the San Diego Film Commission, and he is a mentor for the San Diego Filmmaker's Collective.
