Jérôme Maison is a French film director, screenwriter and producer. He is best known for his work in the films L’Enfant D’en Haut (2012), Petit Pays (2017) and La Chute (2018).

Maison was born in Paris, France in 1980. He began his career in film at the age of 22, when he started writing and directing short films. In 2006, he wrote and directed his first feature film, La Petite Jérôme. The film was well received and went on to win the Prix du Jury at the 2006 Festival Paris Cinéma.

Maison’s second feature film, L’Enfant D’en Haut, was released in 2012 and was a critical and commercial success. The film was selected to compete in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and went on to win the Un Certain Regard Award.

In 2017, Maison released Petit Pays, an adaptation of the novel by Gaël Faye. The film received widespread critical acclaim, with Maison winning the César Award for Best Director in 2018.

Maison’s latest film, La Chute, was released in 2018 and was also a critical and commercial success. The film has been selected to compete in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival.
