BIO

Jeremy Earp is an American documentary filmmaker and producer. He is best known for producing the award-winning documentary The Invisible War and the Emmy-winning documentary The Line.

Earp was born in Rochester, New York, and grew up in nearby Syracuse. He graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in film, and attended the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.

Earp is co-founder and executive director of the non-profit production company, Documedia Group, which produces and distributes socially conscious documentaries and films. His documentary films have been screened at film festivals and broadcast on television networks around the world, and have been honored with dozens of awards and accolades, including an Academy Award nomination for The Invisible War.

Earp has directed and produced a wide range of documentaries, including The Line, which chronicles the experiences of young women in the US military who have been sexually assaulted; and The Unknown Soldier, which follows the story of a US soldier suffering from PTSD.

Earp has also produced several feature-length documentaries commissioned by HBO, including The Trials of Muhammad Ali, which chronicles the life of the legendary boxer, and The Crash Reel, a documentary about snowboarder Kevin Pearce’s recovery from a near-fatal accident.

Earp is the co-founder of the non-profit organization, Docs In Progress, which provides training and support to emerging documentary filmmakers.

Earp is committed to creating films that inform and inspire viewers to take action. He has been honored by the International Documentary Association and the National Board of Review for his work in documentary filmmaking.

Earp currently resides in the Washington, D.C. area with his wife and two children. He continues to produce documentaries that bring attention to important social issues.
