Javier Corcuera is a Spanish-born film director, screenwriter, and producer. Corcuera has worked in the film industry since the late 1990s, creating a diverse catalogue of films that have garnered both critical and commercial acclaim. He is best known for his feature films La Novia and Las Horas Contadas, as well as his documentary work, including the award-winning La Vida en los Márgenes.

Born in Madrid in 1969, Corcuera began his career as a production assistant in Spanish television, producing programming for major networks such as Antena 3 and Telecinco. After several years working in television, Corcuera decided to pursue a career in film. He enrolled at the prestigious Centro de Estudios Cinematográficos de la Comunidad de Madrid, where he studied filmmaking and screenwriting.
