James Barber is a highly successful British director and producer of television and film. He is best known for his work on the popular BBC show Doctor Who, which he has been involved with since 2013.

James was born in London, England in 1982. He attended the University of East Anglia where he graduated with a degree in Drama and Media. After completing his studies, he worked in television production for several years before becoming a director in 2009.

James’s career began with directing music videos and short films. His breakthrough came in 2010 when he directed the feature film The Intruders, which was nominated for a BAFTA. This success led to more opportunities and he went on to direct the popular BBC drama series, Waterloo Road, and the popular sitcom, Not Going Out.

In 2013, James was chosen to direct the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor. This special was a huge success and won numerous awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Movie. James’s success on Doctor Who led to him directing further episodes of the show, as well as its spin-off series, Class.

James has also produced a number of successful films and TV shows, including The Frankenstein Chronicles and the Amazon series, The Feed. He has also worked closely with the BBC on a number of projects, including the adaptation of the popular novel, The Casual Vacancy.

James is a highly successful and respected director and producer. He has won several awards for his work and is considered one of the most successful directors in British television and film. His work has been praised for its strong story-telling and visual style. James continues to work on a variety of projects and is currently working on a feature film adaptation of the novel, The Darkest Hour.
