BIO

Ivan Ramljak is a Croatian filmmaker and screenwriter. He is best known for his feature films "The Beach" (2017) and "The Wall" (2019).

Ramljak was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1987. He studied film directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, graduating in 2010. During his studies, he made several short films and documentaries that were selected for various international film festivals.

In 2014, Ramljak wrote and directed his first feature film, "The Beach". The film was an official selection at several international film festivals, including the Motovun Film Festival, and was awarded Best Film at the Croatian Film Days.

In 2017, Ramljak wrote and directed his second feature film, "The Wall". The film was an official selection at numerous international film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, and won several awards, including Best Film at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

In addition to his feature films, Ramljak has also written and directed several television series and short films. His most recent television series, "The Little Prince", was an official selection at the 2017 Canneseries.

Ramljak is an active member of the Croatian film community, and has served on the jury for the Zagreb Film Festival. He has also served as a mentor for several filmmaking workshops and masterclasses.

Ramljak is currently developing his next feature film, and continues to work on various television and short film projects. He is passionate about telling stories that explore the human condition and the complexities of life. He is a firm believer in the importance of collaboration and has created a unique and creative style of filmmaking that is sure to be appreciated by audiences around the world.
