Ivan Aguilar Naim is a Puerto Rican film director, screenwriter, producer, and editor. He is best known for his work on the 2016 documentary, El Necio de la Montaña.

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ivan Aguilar Naim has been passionate about film since he was a child. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a degree in Communications and Film Studies. After graduation, he began working as a documentary director and editor for local television stations.

In 2016, Ivan Aguilar Naim made his feature film debut with El Necio de la Montaña. The film follows a young man who is struggling to find his place in the world. It was well received by critics and won multiple awards at film festivals around the world.

Since then, Ivan Aguilar Naim has gone on to direct and produce several other films. His 2017 drama, El Regreso de la Bestia, was selected to screen at the Cannes Film Festival. He has also directed the feature-length horror film, Muerte en la Casa, as well as the award-winning short documentary, El Arte de la Luz.

In addition to his film work, Ivan Aguilar Naim is also an active member of the Puerto Rican film community. He has served as a jury member for various film festivals and has been a vocal advocate for the promotion of Puerto Rican cinema.
