Ian Boldsworth is an English actor, producer, and director best known for his roles in the hit television series Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere.

Born in London, England in 1968, Ian Boldsworth began his career as a comedian and actor in the 1990s. He rose to fame as one of the stars of the popular British sitcom Phoenix Nights, playing the role of Ray Von. He also appeared in the spinoff series, Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere.

Boldsworth has worked extensively in the British film industry, appearing in a variety of films including The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Shaun of the Dead, and The Full Monty. He also served as a producer and director on a number of projects, most notably the feature film The Look of Love, which he directed in 2008.

In addition to his acting and directing work, Boldsworth is an accomplished writer, having written a number of television scripts and several novels. His first novel, The Pretender, was published in 2011 and was a bestseller in the United Kingdom.

Outside of his film and television work, Boldsworth is a noted philanthropist. He is a patron of the charity Autism Initiatives, and has supported a number of other charities and organizations throughout his career.

Boldsworth lives in London with his wife and two children. He continues to work in film and television, and is a frequent speaker at film festivals and other events. He is also set to direct the upcoming feature film The Life and Times of John Smith.
