Hervé Bodilis is a French film director and screenwriter who has been involved in the filmmaking industry since the early 1990s. He is best known for his work on adult films, which have garnered critical acclaim and commercial success.

Born in the French commune of Gagny in 1971, Bodilis attended the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied music before settling in Paris. He began his career in the film industry in 1992, working as a production assistant and assistant director in various projects.

In 1995, Bodilis made his directorial debut with the adult film ‘L’Amour à la française’, which was well received by critics and viewers. His second film, ‘Le Château des Désirs’, was released in 1997 and proved to be an even bigger success.

Over the next decade, Bodilis became one of the most prolific and successful adult film directors in France, directing over 50 titles. His films often explored themes of seduction, lust, and forbidden desires, and featured some of the most acclaimed French adult film stars.

In 2006, Bodilis directed his first mainstream feature film, ‘La Vie en Rose’, which starred Marion Cotillard and Gérard Depardieu. The film was a critical and commercial success, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Achievement in Costume Design.

In the years since, Bodilis has continued to direct both adult and mainstream films, including the erotic thriller ‘The Erotic Diary of a French Lady’ in 2010 and the drama ‘The Price of Love’ in 2014. He has also been involved in various television projects, such as the erotic miniseries ‘Monsieur B’ and ‘The Dark Side of Love’.

Throughout his career, Bodilis has won numerous awards, including two Gold Awards from the French Adult Film Awards and the Best Director Award at the European Adult Film Awards.
