Gregory Haney is an American actor, dancer, and choreographer. He is best known for his roles in the Broadway productions of Hamilton, In the Heights, and Memphis, and for appearing in the Netflix series The Politician.

Haney was born in Los Angeles, California in 1988. He began dancing at an early age, and was influenced by his older siblings who were also dancers. He attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where he majored in theater and dance. He went on to study theater at the University of Southern California.

Haney made his Broadway debut in the 2009 revival of West Side Story. He went on to appear in the Broadway production of Memphis, and then in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musicals In the Heights and Hamilton. His performance in the latter earned him a nomination for the 2020 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

Haney has also appeared in film and television. He made his film debut in the 2019 drama Little Woods, and has had guest roles on shows such as Empire, House of Lies, and The Politician.

In addition to his acting career, Haney is also an accomplished dancer and choreographer. He has choreographed numbers for shows such as Hamilton, The Prom, and American Utopia. He has also appeared as a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance.

Outside of his work in the entertainment industry, Haney is a passionate advocate for the arts. He has been involved with several organizations, including the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Dance Institute, and the National Dance Education Organization.

Gregory Haney is one of the most talented young performers on Broadway today. His immense talent and passion for the arts has made him a respected figure both on and off the stage.
