Gordon Mitchell was born in Italy in 1923 and grew up in America. He was an American actor, who appeared in over 200 films and television shows.

He began his film career in 1954 in a minor role in the classic western "The Man from Laramie". From there, he went on to appear in a variety of films, including "The Ten Commandments" (1956) and "The Longest Day" (1962).

In the 1960s, Mitchell began appearing in spaghetti westerns, such as "A Pistol for Ringo" (1965) and "The Return of Ringo" (1965). He also appeared in the popular sci-fi series "Lost in Space" (1965-1968).

In the 1970s, Mitchell had a recurring role on the television series "Kung Fu" (1972-1975). He also appeared in the films "The Towering Inferno" (1974), "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977), and "The Gauntlet" (1977).

In the 1980s, he appeared in films such as "Rambo: First Blood Part II" (1985) and "Tango & Cash" (1989). He also appeared in several television series, such as "Knight Rider" (1982-1986) and "The A-Team" (1983-1987).

Throughout his career, Mitchell remained active in the entertainment industry, appearing in films and television shows until his death in 2003. He was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Italian Academy of Film in 1999.
