Gordon Arkenberg is an American actor best known for his roles in television and films such as the cult classic horror movie The Gate, the television series Quantum Leap, and the popular mystery drama The X-Files.
Born in Los Angeles, California in 1969, Gordon Arkenberg was raised in both Los Angeles and the nearby town of San Fernando Valley. As a child, Arkenberg was an active participant in various sports and outdoor activities, and was especially fond of hiking, biking, and camping. At the same time, Arkenberg was also very interested in acting, and began to participate in school plays and local theater performances.
Arkenberg's first professional acting role was in the 1985 television movie Heart Like a Wheel. That same year, he made his feature film debut with a small role in the drama film The Legend of Billie Jean. From there, Arkenberg built up his acting resume with roles in films such as The Gate (1987) and its sequel, The Gate II (1990), as well as the 1989 television series Quantum Leap.
Arkenberg continued to work steadily throughout the 1990s, appearing in films such as The Program (1993), Striptease (1996), and The X-Files (1996). He also made appearances in television series such as ER, Charmed, and CSI: Miami. Arkenberg's most recent film roles have been in the horror films The Forsaken (2001) and The Covenant (2006).
Arkenberg's career has been very successful, and he has received numerous awards and nominations, including a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in The Gate, a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Young Actor in a Guest Starring Role in The X-Files, and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for Charmed.
