BIO

Giuliano Bugani is an Italian film director, producer, and screenwriter. He was born in Rome in 1977. His parents were both actors and he grew up in a world of art and cinema.

Bugani began his career as a production assistant on several films and commercials. During this time he also studied film theory and technique at the New York Film Academy. After graduation, Bugani started working as a director and soon became well-known in the Italian film industry.

Bugani's feature-length films include the critically acclaimed drama The Trap (2003), the romantic comedy The Day of My Return (2005), and the psychological thriller The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (2007). He has also directed several shorts, including the award-winning The GlassFish (2006) and the psychological drama The Stranger (2008).

Bugani is known for his unique visual style, combining elements of both realism and surrealism. He often employs long takes and unusual camera angles to create a dream-like atmosphere. His films often explore themes of love, loss, and identity.

In addition to his work as a director, Bugani has also produced several films, including the romantic comedy Love in a Box (2010) and the drama Garden of the Gods (2014). He is also the founder of the production company, Independent Pictures.
