Giuliana Gamba is an Italian actor, born in Rome, Italy on January 25, 1972. She is best known for her starring role as Matilde in the award-winning film The Best of Youth. Gamba began her acting career at a young age, appearing in several television series and films, including the comedy Una Mamma Contro (2006), the family drama Il Cielo Cade (2005) and the thriller La Notte dei Desideri (2004). She also appeared in the television miniseries Il Grande Sogno (2005).

Gamba has also had a number of leading roles on the stage, appearing in productions of the plays La Locanda degli Artisti, The Cherry Orchard, and The Seagull. She has also been featured in a number of television commercials.

In 2003, Gamba won the Silver Ribbon Award for Best Actress for her role in the comedy Una Mamma Contro. She was also nominated for the David di Donatello Award for Best Actress for her role in The Best of Youth in 2004.

In 2006, Gamba won the Nastro d'Argento Award for Best Actress for her role in the drama Il Cielo Cade. She has also been nominated for the Italian Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her roles in both The Best of Youth and Il Cielo Cade.

Gamba is currently working on a number of upcoming projects, including the drama Il Figlio del Vento, the comedy La Mia Vita a Colori, and the horror film La Casa Dei Fantasmi.

Gamba is a passionate advocate for animal rights, and has served as a spokesperson for the organization Animal Rights International. She is also a supporter of the organization Save the Children, and has appeared in a number of their promotional videos.
