Gédéon Naudet is a French director most famous for the award-winning documentary “9/11”. He is also the co-director and co-producer of the documentary “In God’s Name”.

Naudet was born in Paris in 1976, and grew up in a family of filmmakers. His father, Jules Naudet, and uncle, Gérard Naudet, were both well-known directors who worked for French television. He was exposed to the art of filmmaking at an early age and developed an interest in documentary films.

In 1997, Naudet moved to New York City to attend the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. After graduating in 2000, he worked as an assistant director on several independent films and television projects.

In 2001, Naudet and his brother Jules began working on their most famous project, “9/11”. The documentary chronicles the events of September 11, 2001, from the perspective of the New York City Fire Department. The film was a critical and commercial success, and earned the brothers an Emmy Award for Outstanding Non-Fiction Special.

In 2004, Naudet and Jules released their second documentary, “In God’s Name”. The film follows the lives of six individuals from different backgrounds and beliefs in the wake of the September 11 attacks. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

Since then, Naudet has worked on a number of other projects, including the television series “The Secret Life of Muslims” and the documentary “The One Percent”. He is currently developing a feature film based on the true story of a group of firefighters who fought a massive wildfire in Southern California in 2003.
