BIO

Frank Alexander is an American actor, writer, and director best known for his work in the films “The Dark Knight” and “American Gangster.” He was born in Los Angeles, California in 1970 and grew up in the city's Westside neighborhood.

Alexander attended the University of Southern California, where he studied theater and film. He began his professional acting career in the late 1990s, appearing in a number of independent films and television shows. His big break came when he was cast in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” in 2008. He played a supporting role as a corrupt cop, and his performance brought him critical acclaim.

Alexander later starred in the blockbuster hit “American Gangster” opposite Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. He also appeared in television shows such as “CSI: Miami” and “The Twilight Zone.”

Outside of acting, Alexander is an accomplished writer and director. He has written and directed the short films “The Lost Boys” and “The Blackout.” His feature-length directorial debut, “The Call,” was released in 2013. He also wrote and directed the television series “The Last Man Standing” which aired from 2013-2016.

Alexander has also written several scripts for feature films, including “The Killing Room” and “The Third Man.” He has also served as a producer on several projects, including “The Dark Knight” and “American Gangster.”

Alexander is currently working on a number of projects, including a new television series and a feature film. He is also a vocal advocate for diversity in the entertainment industry, and is a member of the Directors Guild of America’s Diversity Task Force.
