Fito Páez, born on March 13th, 1963, is an Argentine singer and songwriter who has become an icon in Latin American rock music. He has released over 20 albums, and has written several movie and theater scores, as well as soundtracks for television shows.

Born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Fito Páez began his musical career at the age of 17, when he formed the band "Los Abuelos de la Nada," who achieved great success in Latin America. After the band's breakup in 1985, Fito continued to pursue his solo career, releasing his first solo album, "Del 63," in 1986. His second album, "Terapia," released in 1987, was a great success, selling over one million copies.

Throughout his career, Fito Páez has collaborated with some of the most important Latin American musicians, such as Charly García, Gustavo Cerati, Mercedes Sosa, and Daniel Melingo. His music is a combination of various genres, including rock, pop, and folk.

In 1989, Fito Páez wrote and directed his first film, "El Amor Después del Amor," for which he also composed the soundtrack. The film was nominated for a Goya Award for Best Spanish Language Foreign Film.

Fito Páez has also written and composed songs for theater plays, including "La Lluvia," "El Día que me Quieras," and "Cuestión de Principios." He has also written and directed several short films, including "Cuando el Mar Se Acabe" and "El Último Hombre."

Fito Páez has been the recipient of numerous awards, including a Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award (2009), a Latin Grammy Award for Best Rock Album (2012), and a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album (2015).
