Fabiana Cantilo is an Argentine actress, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on July 1, 1962. She is best known for her work in the television series Muñeca Brava, for which she received a Martín Fierro Award in 2000.

Cantilo’s first foray into the world of acting was at the age of 13 when she took part in a production of the musical Godspell. After completing her studies at the National Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts of Buenos Aires, she began to appear in numerous television series, including El Amor es una cosa esplendida, El Secreto de Puente Viejo, and Muñeca Brava.

In the early 1980s, Cantilo formed the rock band Suéter with her then-husband, singer and composer Pedro Aznar. The band released two albums before disbanding in 1987. After the demise of Suéter, Cantilo continued to explore her passion for music, performing with other bands and releasing several solo albums, including Lluvia de Peces (1995), El Vacío (1997), and Mano a Mano (2004).

In addition to her singing career, Cantilo has continued to appear in films and television series including Culpables (1995) and Los Roldan (2006). She also appeared in the television series El Marginal (2017-2018) as a guest star.

In 2019, Cantilo released her memoir, “De Peces y Sueños”, where she recounts her life and career. The memoir was met with critical acclaim and became a best seller in Argentina.

Throughout her career, Cantilo has earned numerous awards, including the Clarin Awards, the Premio Sur Awards, and the Martin Fierro Award. She has also been recognized for her philanthropic work, having been named a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
