Eva Bäckman is a Swedish actress, born in Stockholm in 1971. She began her career at the age of twelve when she was cast in her first television role on the series Lindenström. She went on to appear in numerous other Swedish productions, including the films The White Lioness and The Man Who Smiled, and the television series The Inspector and the Sea.

Throughout her career, she has also made appearances in films from other countries, such as the German film The Bridge and the British film The Beach. Her most famous performance, however, came in 2004 when she won the Best Actress award at the Stockholm International Film Festival for her role in the film As It Is in Heaven.

Eva is a multi-talented actress who has also appeared in theatre productions and written short stories for Swedish newspapers. In recent years, she has focused more on teaching acting classes and coaching aspiring actors. She has also done voice work for video games and animated films.

Eva is highly respected in her field and has received several awards, including the Guldbagge Award for Best Actress in 2004 and the Kristallen Award for Best Actress in 2006. She has also been nominated for numerous other awards, including the European Film Award.
