Ethan Swadburg is an American actor, comedian, and writer best known for his roles in the hit series “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation.” He was born in San Diego, California in 1984 and raised by his mother, a single parent. He went to college at the University of California, Santa Barbara where he majored in English.

Swadburg’s career began with small guest roles on television shows such as “CSI” and “Boston Legal.” He made his big break in 2005 when he landed a spot on the hit show “The Office” as the character Andy Bernard. He quickly became a fan favorite and was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

In 2009, Swadburg joined the cast of another popular show, “Parks and Recreation.” Here, he played the role of Tom Haverford, a charmingly naïve yet lovable bureaucrat. His performance earned him three Emmy Award nominations. He also appeared in a number of feature films, including “Bridesmaids” and “The Hangover Part II.”

Swadburg has also appeared on a variety of television shows, including “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He has also made appearances on “Saturday Night Live” and “Conan.”
