Elizabeth Schaffer is a highly accomplished film and television director who has been behind the camera for many award-winning projects. She has directed multiple films, television shows, and commercials, as well as documentaries and music videos.

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Elizabeth was exposed to the arts at an early age and was deeply inspired by the creative works of others. She started out her career in 1985 as an assistant editor for the feature film “Gung Ho”.

Elizabeth went on to direct her first feature film, “The Blue Iguana”, in 1990. She continued to direct several more features, including “The Grifters”, “The Rapture”, and “White Oleander”. She has also directed a multitude of television and commercial projects, such as “ER”, “Will & Grace”, “Monk”, and “CSI”.

In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Elizabeth has also directed several documentaries, including “The Hidden Art of Hollywood” and “The Battle for the Redwoods.” She has also directed a number of music videos for popular artists such as Sting, Keb’ Mo’, and Mariah Carey.

Elizabeth’s work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for “ER”, the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials, and the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Music Videos. She has also been nominated for the prestigious Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival for her feature film “The Rapture”.

Elizabeth continues to work steadily in the industry today, directing several projects per year. She is currently in post-production for her latest feature film, “The Girl Who Could Fly”, which is set for release in 2021.
