Eileen Hofer is an American filmmaker, film editor, and screenwriter who has worked on high-profile films such as Black Swan and The Social Network. She is a multiple Emmy Award-winning editor and has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Editing.

Hofer grew up in the South Bay area of Los Angeles and studied film at the University of Southern California. Her first job in the film industry was as an assistant editor at a post-production house. She then moved into the editing room and began working on feature films.

Hofer has worked as an editor on more than 50 feature films and television shows, including such films as Black Swan, The Social Network, The Aviator, and The Departed. She has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Editing, first for The Social Network and then for Black Swan.

In addition to her editing work, Hofer also has written and directed several short films. Her first feature film, The Glass House, was released in 2020. The film follows a young woman's journey as she navigates the complexities of love and family in the face of a terminal illness.

Hofer has been recognized with numerous awards, including an Emmy for editing the television movie, The Normal Heart. She also has been nominated for an Emmy for her editing on the television series American Horror Story.
