Ehab Assal is an award-winning Egyptian director and film maker. He was born in Cairo in 1983 and is a graduate of the High Cinema Institute. After completing his studies, he began working on various short films and documentaries. These works gained a lot of attention, and he soon became one of Egypt's most highly-regarded filmmakers.

His first full-length feature film, The Dream, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008. It was an instant success and won several awards, including the prestigious Golden Camera award. It also earned Ehab international acclaim and recognition.

In the years since, Ehab has continued to make critically acclaimed films and documentaries. In 2014, he directed the feature film, The Exhibition, which was released in both Egypt and the United States.
