Edward Stambollouian is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He began his career in the late 1970s, directing and producing various short films and documentaries. He then worked his way up the ranks, eventually directing his first feature film, The Curse of the Cat People, in 1984.

Edward was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1957. He was the middle child of a middle-class family, and he had a passion for film from a young age. He began making his own home movies with a Super 8 camera, and he soon moved on to creating documentaries. After high school, he attended the University of Southern California’s prestigious film school and graduated in 1979.

Edward’s first feature film, The Curse of the Cat People, was a horror movie that won numerous accolades and awards, including a nomination for Best First Feature at the Cannes Film Festival. After that, he directed and produced several other films, such as the cult classic The Stepfather and the action-packed thriller The Hidden.

Throughout his career, Edward has collaborated with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, such as Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, and John Travolta. He has also had the opportunity to work with some of Hollywood’s most respected directors, such as Sam Raimi, Ron Howard, and Steven Spielberg.

Edward’s most recent work was the 2018 horror-thriller The Witch in the Window, which he wrote, directed, and produced. He has also been working on a science fiction project and is currently in post-production on the film.
