Dylan Wyn Richards is an award-winning American film director and writer. He is best known for his critically acclaimed feature films, including The Experimenter (2015), which was nominated for numerous awards, including Best Picture at the British Independent Film Awards.
Richards was born in Los Angeles, California and was raised in a small town in Oregon. He attended the University of Oregon, where he studied film and philosophy. His first feature film, The Experimenter, was released in 2015 and was met with critical acclaim. The film was an official selection for the Sundance Film Festival and won Best Narrative Feature at the Austin Film Festival and multiple other awards.
Richards has made several documentaries, including a feature-length documentary about the history of the Portland art scene called Portlandia: A Documentary. He has also written and directed several short films, including How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Nashville Film Festival.
