Duncan Mclean is an award-winning actor, best known for his television roles on shows like The Office, ER, and Scrubs. A native of Scotland, Mclean was born in 1971 and raised in Edinburgh. He studied acting at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, graduating in 1995.

Mclean made his professional acting debut in 1997, playing a small part in the BBC drama The Cops. He then appeared in several other shows, including the BBC drama The Bill and Channel 4's Queer as Folk. In 2001, he made his first major breakthrough when he was cast as David Brent in the BBC mockumentary The Office. His performance in the show earned him an Emmy nomination in 2004.

In the following years, Mclean went on to appear in various television series and films, including ER, Scrubs, and The Last Samurai.
